OIKOS founders
Rethinking wood is the slogan of the founders Monika and Nebojša. In the development phase, all the parties involved had one goal in mind, namely to show what can be done with wood and to establish OIKOS housing as a showcase project for wood construction today. We don’t compromise on our distinctive design or the use of natural building materials and include only carefully selected partners and materials that we would choose for ourselves. The founders are also strong supporters of the Tiny House Movement and also members of the “Economy for the Common Good”, an association of businesses that have made it their agenda to create an alternative economic system that is not based on profit orientation, but instead on confidence building, appreciation, cooperation, solidarity, and sharing.
OIKOS architects
In association with architects, Stevo Tyelaap, Dario Peric & Dragan Vukovic.
Our goal and vision are to design and develop sustainable buildings. Sustainable in this context means, that we focus on energy efficiency and the use of high-quality materials. But our intention goes even further: it is our intention that our buildings are long lasting in terms of the usage. We want to create places, that inspire people, where they live and work, but also relax and find their inner peace.
OIKOS factory
Slovenia has a rich wood industry history and deep connection with wood so it‘s not hard to conclude that the legacy of wood crafting has remained present in current generations. Therefore, with precise traditional construction and a touch of innovative solutions, our manufacturer is injecting years of experience into each and every OIKOS house.
